Who we are
A brief history
Find out more about how WWOOF was started more than 50 years ago, and the origins that shaped our community today.
What is the Federation of WWOOF Organisations?
In 2012, we were a group of visionary national WWOOF coordinators, who got together and decided to found the Federation of WWOOF Organisations (FoWO). Our dream was to work together worldwide, creating synergies between our organizations while supporting our local identities. That’s how the Federation was born, with the goal of uniting, promoting, protecting and supporting the WWOOF movement around the world.
